It has just been revealed that a popular AEW star made one request to the promotion. This comes just a few months before their contract with the company expires.

Danhausen has been with All Elite Wrestling for some time now, but in recent times, he has not been utilized. He has not been seen on TV since Worlds End 2023, as he was part of a match during the Zero Hour pre-show. His contract is set to come to an end by February 2026, and he has drawn interest from major companies, including WWE.

Fightful Select has just reported that he made a request to AEW. He hoped that they would not add injury time to his contract during its original expiry date. This ended up not being the case, as the promotion still added injury time, which is the reason why his contract will only be up in the next two months.

This is in line with a previous report, but now it has been revealed that he made a formal request for this.

The AEW star may end up landing in NXT

It is no secret that WWE has shown great interest in Danhausen and has been paying attention to his contract status for some time now.

WrestleVotes Radio has just reported that the promotion is waiting for the Very Nice, Very Evil star's contract to come to an end. When this is up by February, they may end up pursuing him. It was also mentioned that those internally believe that he would thrive in NXT.

Seeing the number of former AEW stars make their way to the brand and become better versions of themselves, this is not far-fetched in any way.

This will be an interesting move to watch out for, as WWE has been good at utilizing individuals with unique gimmicks. He would be an interesting talent to have, and could reach great heights with the company.
