The upstart wrestling promotion based out of Jacksonville, Florida, AEW, is set to end a highly captivating and successful year with their final pay-per-view event, Worlds End. The show is set to take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Now Arena in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and is expected to be a blockbuster show for Tony Khan's company.

The promotion has announced an array of top stars like Kazuchika Okada, the returning MJF, Mercedes Mone, Kris Statlander, and others to compete in top showdowns. With the event rapidly approaching, here are four last-minute predictions for the AEW Worlds End 2025 pay-per-view event.

#4. Jamie Hayter pulls off a huge upset victory

Kris Statlander has become an unstoppable force since dethroning Timeless Toni Storm and becoming the AEW Women's World Champion a few months ago. Moreover, her confidence has boosted even more ever since she defeated a top star like Mercedes Mone last month at Full Gear pay-per-view. However, this time, it is former Women's World Champion Jamie Hayter standing in her way. She has been seemingly lost in the shuffle for a while. However, at Worlds End, her rise back to the top could be cemented, which could see Hayter pulling off a major upset win over Statlander and winning the title for the second time in her AEW career.

#3. Konosuke Takeshita wins Continental Classic

AEW Worlds End 2025 pay-per-view will witness an epic clash between Don Callis Family members, Konosuke Takeshita, and Kazuchika Okada. The duo will square off in one of the semi-final matches of the Continental Classic, alongside Jon Moxley squaring off against Kyle Fletcher in the other semi-final bout. Amidst Takeshita's spectacular rise in the wrestling world after winning the IWGP World title this year at NJPW's King of Pro-Wrestling, the Worlds End event could mark a huge turning point for him as well. This could see him not defeat the reigning Continental Champion, Kazuchika Okada, but also go on to win the finals that night and become the tournament champion, adding a major accolade to his resume.

#2. Mercedes Mone turns on her tag team partner

Mercedes Mone and her partner, Athena, are set to challenge the Babes of Wrath, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, for the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championships at the Worlds End event this year. However, there is no secret that Mone has been failing to secure the win in major title bouts in All Elite Wrestling this year. The same could happen this time, too, leading The CEO to turn on Athena and end their alliance earlier than expected.

#1. MJF is back on the top of the mountain

MJF stunned the wrestling fans after finally making his return to AEW television on the December 17 edition of Dynamite following his hiatus since the All Out event. He cashed in his Casino Gauntlet contract and inserted himself in the AEW World Championship match between Swerve Strickland, Hangman Adam Page, and the reigning champion, Samoa Joe. With the Salt of the Earth back in the mix, the time might have come for his ascension to the top of the mountain again. This could see MJF use his conniving nature and unprecedented in-ring acumen to win the four-way bout and finally win the World title after nearly two years.
