1) Mega Steelix ex

  • HP: 220
  • Move: Adamantine Rolling
  • Damage: 120
  • Effect: Reduces incoming damage by 20 during the opponent’s next turn and removes all Weakness
  • Energy Cost: 2 Metal and 2 Colorless Energy
  • Retreat Cost: 4 Energy

Mega Steelix ex’s high HP places it among the bulkiest Pokemon currently available in the game. Its Adamantine Rolling deals a consistent amount of damage while simultaneously reducing incoming damage. Additionally, the removal of its Fire Weakness further makes it bulkier. Once fully powered, Mega Steelix ex can comfortably dictate trades in its favor.

2) Dialga ex

  • HP: 150
  • Move 1: Metallic Turbo
  • Move 1 Description: Supplies two Metal Energy to one Benched Pokemon
  • Move 1 Damage: 30
  • Move 1 Energy Cost: 2 Metal Energy
  • Move 2: Heavy Impact
  • Move 2 Damage: 100
  • Move 2 Energy Cost: 2 Metal and 2 Colorless Energy
  • Retreat Cost: 2 Energy

Dialga ex plays a dual role of a support and a secondary attacker in the early stages. For two Metal Energy, Metallic Turbo speeds up Mega Steelix ex’s setup, allowing it to come in the Active Spot much faster. While doing so, Dialga ex can also apply early pressure. If needed, it can transition into a secondary attacker using its Heavy Impact, providing flexibility if Mega Steelix ex is not yet ready.

The primary objective of this deck is to play Dialga ex early which prepares Mega Steelix ex on the bench. Once Mega Steelix ex is ready and active, the pacing of the game shifts into an offensive, yet defensive, controlled game.

Damage reduction effects from Adamantine Rolling, Heavy Helmet, and Adaman synergize effectively, allowing Mega Steelix ex to survive long enough.
