A classic “good news, bad news” update for you on Pluribus Season 2. The good news is that Production List reports that Pluribus Season 2 officially began production in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as of October 31, 2026. The (potentially) bad news is that precedent and early reports suggest that it could be 2028 before you actually get to watch that season.
For the record, there is a number floating around that suggests that Pluribus Season 2 is set for a 225-day shoot. So far as I can tell, though, that number has not been confirmed by notable or official sources. It’s not entirely clear where it came from at this time, so let’s not treat that as the gospel truth.
However, Rhea Seehorn previously said that it took about 10–11 months to film the first season of Pluribus. Other estimates suggest the official production schedule was closer to 7–9 months (from February 2024 to November 2024), so that seems to be the rough range we’re working with. What we do know is that additional filming seemingly wrapped around November 2024, and the series didn’t premiere on Apple TV until November 2025.
It seems unlikely there would be quite as big of a gap between the end of production on Pluribus Season 2 and its release. Debut seasons typically take a bit longer so far as that goes, and Apple TV will certainly be motivated to get it out there as soon as it can, given how successful the show’s first season was. Still, if we estimate a generous seven-month production schedule for Season 2 and a 10-month gap between the end of that production and the debut of the next season, we’re looking at finally getting to watch Pluribus Season 2 in December 2027 at the earliest. More reasonable estimates suggest that we’re indeed going to have to wait until 2028 to see new episodes of the show.
Interestingly, that would mean that Severance Season 3 and Pluribus Season 2 could both end up debuting in the same year (based on current estimates rather than official production schedules). Welcome to the age of “eventually” modern production and release schedules. At least we can feel pretty confident that Pluribus Season 2 is going to be worth the wait, I suppose.
