The Pittsburgh volleyball player, Olivia Babcock, shared a message for her fans after their upsetting loss at the NCAA volleyball championships semi-finals. The appearance was their fifth semi-finals in a row.
The Panthers contested against Texas A&M in the national semi-finals on December 18 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The latter claimed dominance over the Pitts by registering a 3-0 sweep and advanced to the NCAA Championships final. This showdown saw Babcock attain 22 kills, 6 blocks, and 2 assists.
Shortly after the loss, the right-side hitter penned a message for her fans. Babcock reshared a post from her team's official Instagram handle on her story, with a thank-you note that read:
"Thank you for all the support this year Pitt fans. See you again next year❣️"

Babcock had an incredible run this season, as she won the AVCA East Coast Player of the Year and ACC Player of the Year awards. She secured a single-match record of 41 kills and a single-season record of 71 aces.
Olivia Babcock opened up about staying calm during high pressure amid the season
Ahead of competing in the Final Four against Texas A&M, Pittsburgh Panther's Olivia Babcock sat for a press conference. She spoke about various aspects of her game, along with how she handles high-pressure situations.
When asked about how she remains calm and zen in the middle of the highesst pressure of the situation, she said: (2:19 onwards)
"Yeah, I think it's just a reminder of who you're playing for and what you're playing for. I feel like this team, we're just fun and this is my family and I'm just every time I step on the court, it's just to have fun with my friends. And I think obviously it's hard to not um give into the pressure of these moments, but you just kind of look at your sixoot world we call it, which is just the people on the court and you're like, you know what, like I'm not going to feel any stress if I just remember these are the people I'm constantly playing for," said Olivia Babcock.Earlier this year in August, Olivia Babcock made her feelings known about her bond with the Nebraska player, Harper Murray. In a press conference, she revealed that they are really 'good friends' and have also played on a few teams together.
