The December 19 edition of WWE SmackDown is set to feature the fallout from Saturday Night's Main Event XLII. While no segments or matches have been announced for the show yet, there are several things that could take place tonight.

On that note, here are four ways SmackDown could end tonight.

4. Jacob Fatu could return to reveal his mystery attacker

Interestingly, Jacob Fatu has been listed as one of the featured superstars for the December 19 episode of SmackDown on WWE.com. He hasn't been on programming since being attacked backstage in November, right before his WWE Championship number one contender's match with Drew McIntyre.

However, now that he is being advertised for the show, The Samoan Werewolf could potentially make his return in the main event. Right after his comeback, Fatu could reveal the identity of his attacker and call him out to have a brawl in the middle of the ring.

3. Jade Cargill could be confronted by Tiffany Stratton

Jade Cargill has been growing in dominance on the blue brand over the past few weeks. She has attacked United States Champion Chelsea Green and has also taken out Michin and B-Fab. While the Women's Champion has been making regular appearances on the show, she doesn't have a clear challenger yet.

Tiffany Stratton could make her return to television for the first time since losing the title to Cargill in the main event of SmackDown tonight. The Buff Barbie could attack Cargill and send her reeling to close the show, demanding her rematch for the Women's Title.

2. The MFTs could stand tall over the Wyatt Sicks

The feud between the MFTs and the Wyatt Sicks has been developing well over the past few weeks. While Uncle Howdy has managed to get the upper hand over Solo Sikoa several times, the Street Champion could get revenge tonight.

The Sicks could cut an in-ring promo before being ambushed by the MFTs. Taken by surprise, they could be completely taken out and destroyed by Sikoa's faction. The show could go off air with Sikoa and his group standing tall over a broken Uncle Howdy, setting up a future match between the two stables.

1. Nick Aldis could strip Cody Rhodes of the WWE Title in the main event of SmackDown

This past weekend, WWE released a cinematic video on their YouTube channel, which showcased Drew McIntyre being reinstated by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. The Scottish Warrior received a WWE Title shot and also demanded that Cody Rhodes be stripped of his title if he attacked McIntyre again.

Aldis agreed to the condition, but it wasn't formalized by the legal team. And moments later, Rhodes attacked McIntyre at his doorstep. Therefore, Drew McIntyre could return to the show tonight and demand that Nick Aldis strip Cody Rhodes of the WWE Championship.

In the main event of the show, Aldis could come out to the ring and demand that Cody Rhodes hand over his title. From here, he could either comply or attack Nick Aldis, fully turning heel in the process, much to the delight of McIntyre for having finally destroyed his rival mentally.
