Pistons' Isaiah Stewart could be in for a very long suspension after fight against Hornets

Pistons center Isaiah Stewart is a great NBA player, but is also known as a physical player who embodies what the team was known for in the late 80s and early 90s.

He's often at the center of any scuffle and likes to make his presence known.

Well, he did just that against the Hornets on Monday night, but he might pay a hefty price for his actions.

Isaiah Stewart could be in for a very long suspension after incident against Hornets

During the Hornets/Pistons game on Monday, a foul in the third quarter led to shoving, which then turned into a brawl, with punches thrown from players on both teams.

There were also players like Isaiah Stewart who came off the bench during the brawl to get involved, which is a big no-no in the NBA.

That alone can warrant an ejection/suspension, but Stewart took it to another level.

He ran after a player on the Hornets and threw aggressive punches, which will, without a doubt, mean he'll be issued a suspension, as he was already ejected from the game on Monday after it happened.

ESPN's Bobby Marks posted on X after the incident, "We aren’t going to see Isaiah Stewart for a very long time. Repeater offender status will certainly come into play."

Marks makes a good point, as Stewart doesn't have the cleanest record when it comes to on-court altercations.

Stewart's most notable suspension was for an on-court incident in which he tried to attack LeBron James after being hit, resulting in a two-game suspension.

Stewart has nine combined flagrant fouls in the last three seasons, which is another negative on his resume, as the league assesses what happened.

Ultimately, we will likely find out in the next day or two what the suspension length will be for Stewart and the other players who were involved in the incident.
