The Philadelphia Phillies entered the season with a few holes to fill. The most important one was re-signing Kyle Schwarber, a huge portion of the club's offense over the last few years.
And they did just that. The two sides agreed on a five-year, $150 million deal.
While there are still a few holes to fill, the front office should feel much better about the upcoming season with Schwarber back in the lineup. But the rest of the offense will need to step up next season.

Phillies urged to get more offensive production outside their Big Three
Much of the Phillies' offense came from Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Kyle Schwarber. While they all produced well, many of the other bats were inconsistent.
Philadelphia cannot go into the new season relying on just these three. ESPN's David Schoenfield urges the club that they need the rest of the offense to get going in 2026.
"Given that Schwarber, Harper, and Turner are each entering their age-33 season, relying so much on those three is an increasingly dangerous game."
All three players are getting older, and while they can still produce at a great clip, depending on them to be the full force of the offensive production can be scary.
The club needs the rest of the lineup to help and step up if they want to have any chance to make a decent run in 2026.
One name to watch out for is Justin Crawford. He is the team's No. 3 prospect, and he is expected to play a significant role in the outfield this upcoming season.
Outside of that, Philadelphia is not done making moves yet. So, expect them to bring in another bat, likely an outfielder and a catcher, if they fail to re-sign J.T. Realmuto.
