The Philadelphia Phillies, after a down 2025 season with a struggling outfield, are looking to reshape that group in one offseason. Justin Crawford is almost certainly a day-one starter, and Adolis Garcia is in the cards on a $10 million deal.
But, even after those two moves, the Phillies could look to add even more talent to the outfield this winter. A Kyle Tucker or Cody Bellinger singing is not likely, but a trade for an outfielder, especially a rental, would make some sense.
According to Francys Romero of beisbolfr.com, the Phillies are showing interest in a $20 million rental option, a few years removed from a 38-homer season with an AL Central club.

"Another team that has recently shown interest in Luis Robert Jr. is the Philadelphia Phillies, as reported by @Ken_Rosenthal and @WillSammon of The Athletic," Romero reports. "The Phillies were considering Robert Jr. ahead of the trade deadline in late July."
The Phillies are among a few teams showing interest in Robert, with the New York Mets being another club that's been strongly linked to Robert in a trade this winter with the Chicago White Sox.
Philadelphia has interest in Robert, a right-handed hitting outfielder who can bring slug, defense, and speed to the Phillies outfield.
There is a big question now left: would the Phillies still trade for Robert even after signing Garcia to a $10 million deal? There might not be as strong of interest in Robert anymore after the Garcia deal, as the Phillies have already added a righty outfielder.

Garcia is likely taking over in right field, while Justin Crawford and Brandon Marsh take up the other two outfield spots. Marsh could be a trade candidate this offseason, which would pave the way for Robert to be acquired in a trade.
But the Phillies could also invest a lot into the outfield, and trade for Robert to platoon him with Crawford or Marsh in the outfield. It might not be the cheapest move, but the Phillies outfield could undergo a complete overhaul in one offseason with a Robert trade.
The White Sox have shown a willingness to eat some of Robert Jr.'s contract, and the Phillies won't have to give up one of their top prospects to make such a trade work.
After the Garcia singing, the fit with Robert in Philadelphia would be strange, but the Phillies can make it work. Don't rule out the Phillies just yet in the Robert sweepstakes, as Dave Dombrowski could fix the outfield in one offseason with a trade for Robert.
