According to the December 12, 2025 report by PEOPLE, Denise Ivonne Jarvis Gongora died on December 9, 2025, after falling from the ninth floor of a high-rise apartment in Patong, a beach town on Phuket Island, Thailand.

Captain Channarong Prakongkuea of the Patong Police Station reportedly told local outlets that her body was discovered in the building’s parking area at approximately 1:50 p.m. Condo staff reportedly found her, and police later confirmed her identity with family members.

Phuket News reported that Gongora was scheduled to check out of the apartment on December 10, 2025 the day after her death, and investigators found a pair of flip-flops believed to belong to her left behind on the ninth floor.

TMZ also reported that Magdalene was in Thailand at the time of her death and that she fell from the ninth floor of a high-rise apartment, citing the Daily Mail in their December 12, 2025 report. Both People and TMZ noted that police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fall, and no official conclusion has been released regarding whether the incident was accidental or intentional.

PEOPLE confirmed that local authorities have not yet provided further details and that the Patong Police Station has been contacted for comment as the investigation continues.

In the hours before her death, Mary Magdalene shared what many have described as a haunting final post on Instagram. According to PEOPLE, on December 8, 2025. the day before she died, she uploaded two stills from the final scene of The Truman Show, featuring the line,

Hilton also pointed out that Magdalene had changed the username on one of her Instagram accounts to “marymagdalenedied” before her death, a detail that further unsettled followers.

Mary Magdalene’s friends also shared tributes, including YouTuber Eden “The Doll” Estrada, who posted that she had planned to see Mary Magdalene in Thailand but did not, learning of her death only hours after they were supposed to meet, according to Hilton.
