The 2026 NFL playoffs continue with the Divisional Round. The Wild Card Round is in the rearview, and both the Patriots and the Texans are still alive in the hunt for the Lombardi Trophy.
The Patriots, who entered the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the AFC, advanced to the Divisional Round thanks to a 16-3 win over the No. 7 Los Angeles Chargers. Quarterback Drake Maye threw for 268 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also led the team with 66 rushing yards on 10 carries.
The Texans came into the playoffs as the No. 5 seed. They went on the road to face the Steelers in Pittsburgh. It was a close game throughout as the Texans struggled to get going offensively. They finally turned it on in the fourth quarter and used two defensive touchdowns to win 30-6.
The Texans had lost six straight road playoff games, but finally ended that streak with the win over the Steelers. The Texans will look to continue that momentum with another road playoff game against the Patriots.
