While the New England Patriots have dealt with a number of injuries to their defensive front this year, they appear to be getting some help for the rest of the season.
On Tuesday, linebacker Curtis Jacobs was spotted at the team's practice inside Gillette Stadium, meaning the team has started his 21-day window to return to the active roster.
Jacobs was placed on injured reserve after suffering a neck injury in New England's Week 11 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Prior to the injury, he had played in nine games, recording four tackles.
The 22-year-old's return could help on both special teams and defense, and the Patriots could certainly use assistance in those phases of the game.
