New injury could force Patriots to make change along the offensive line

The New England Patriots have had their fair share of offensive line issues this season, especially at the center position.

Since training camp, the Patriots have lost both David Andrews and Jake Andrews to season-ending injuries, which has forced the team to start Ben Brown after signing him off of the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad.

However, Brown popped up on New England's injury report on Tuesday with a concussion, meaning they may have to make a change for their Week 17 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.

The Patriots have options, including former first-round pick Cole Strange, who has been practicing exclusively at center since returning to practice from the torn patellar tendon that ended his 2023 season early. They could also turn to Lecitus Smith, who has yet to play a snap at center in an NFL game, but that's his natural position.
