A brief recap of Palm Royale season 2 episode 7

Palm Royale season 2 episode 7 started with Virginia, Robert, and Maxine hiding out in a motel room after finding Mirabelle dead and lying in the pool in Maxine’s house. Virginia then asks Maxine to pretend to stay dead until they catch the person who killed her identical twin sister.

While she agrees, Maxine is heartbroken at her sister’s death and tries to explain to Robert that she believes Norma killed Mirabelle after mistaking her for Maxine.

However, he brushes her off, shows her the middle finger, and leaves rather rudely, which irks Maxine as she decides to sneak out and get some fresh air. Meanwhile, Dinah, Ann, and Evelyn are called in to identify Maxine’s body and immediately confirm that it’s not Maxine. Yet despite that, the funeral goes on, albeit without any body inside the coffin, as Maxine sneaks into her own funeral after being egged on by her new friend Bruce.

But when she sees Virginia and the others, she jumps into the empty coffin and hides in there for the remainder of the event, listening to the various emotional speeches people give about her. She eventually comes out of the coffin and tells everyone that she’s still alive, much to the shock of everyone in the room.

Douglas is furious, but after Virginia explains the plan, Maxine and he reconcile and share a kiss, and then plan to head to Switzerland.

What to expect from Palm Royale season 2 episode 8

Given the fact that every single episode in season 2 has had a major revelation of some sort, Palm Royale season 2 episode 8 will likely follow the same pattern. Episode 7’s revelation was that Norma is Robert’s mother, which explained many of his actions and attitude.

However, now with the two of them off to Switzerland alongside Douglas and Maxine and Dinah, things could get rather interesting in the Alps. The two former spouses are heading to the Alps to settle their financial matters, a task that Norma also has a vested interest in, which will undoubtedly make things a bit complicated.

Meanwhile, Dinah is being blackmailed over her affair with Richard Nixon and needs to go to Switzerland to bring Miss Post a Faberge egg back to keep her quiet. Her life isn’t in danger despite what Douglas and Perry thought over the course of episode 7, but her social life feels like it could implode at any moment.
