Palm Royale season 2 episode 6 ending explained: What happens to Mirabelle?

Palm Royale season 2 episode 6, titled Maxine Finds Herself, premiered on December 17, 2025, exclusively on Apple TV+. The episode revolves around Maxine and her brand-new discovery about herself, and Robert dealing with the aftermath of his actions and the subsequent fallout. Meanwhile, Mitzi and Douglas get into a tiff after the latter makes a unilateral decision about their future kids and runs off to Maxine to confess his feelings again.

Palm Royale season 2 episode 6 starts off with the revelation that Maxine has an identical twin sister, Mirabelle, whom she finds sleeping on the couch at her house when she enters. From there, a whole lot of drama ensues surrounding the two sisters, especially after Virginia hands Maxine a new task.

She tells Maxine to find out who Pinky is working for, as the FBI is convinced that there are Russian mobsters in Palm Beach. This leads them to Pinky, where Maxine convinces Evelyn that the way to get back at Pinky is to put him in jail for tax evasion, and that the only way to do so is by stealing his ledger. However, their plan goes astray as Pinky doesn’t have the ledger on him, and a disappointed Maxine returns home.

She finds Mirabelle there, who hands Maxine the ledger after taking it from Raquel and also tells her sister that Douglas is still in love with her. Maxine then gives it to Evelyn, and things seem to be falling in place until she returns home, although Robert is worried that Norma is still after her life.

This also includes Mirabelle, but when Maxine, Robert, and Virginia return home, they find Mirabelle shot, lying face down in the pool, with Evelyn standing over her, appearing to be the one responsible.

Maxine finds a twin sister and loses her in Palm Royale season 2 episode 6

Palm Royale season 2 episode 6 begins with a significant twist as Maxine enters her house and sees her reflection staring back at her from the couch. It turns out that she has a twin sister named Mirabelle, whom her parents raised as they could ‘only handle one.’ The two siblings end up getting along superbly, although their twin-sister status causes more problems than either of them had expected.

They even have a slumber party where they talk about life, the past, and their love lives, with Maxine confessing that she’s worried she won’t be able to love anyone other than Douglas. Later on, while Maxine goes on her own adventures, Mirabelle ends up being the one put in the middle as more than a few people mistake her for her sister. This includes Douglas, who confesses his love to Mirabelle (thinking she’s Maxine) and even gets together with her romantically.

All this was after Mitzi lashed out at Douglas for making Pinky their child’s godparent, although the mobster had threatened Douglas into doing that. Furthermore, it seems that Douglas wasn’t the only one who mistook Mirabelle for Maxine, as Raquel also turns up at the house and has a fight with Mirabelle, who manages to hold her own and comes out on top in Palm Royale season 2 episode 6.

Mirabelle then leaves Raquel tied up on the bed and escapes through a trapdoor, wearing a dress eerily similar to the one her sister had on. That is probably the reason Palm Royale season 2 episode 6 ends with Maxine, Robert, and Virginia walking in to see Evelyn standing over a dead Mirabelle.

Mirabelle saves the day on more than one occasion for Maxine

Mirabelle’s arrival ends up helping Maxine, not once or twice, but on three different occasions, as her twin sister turns hero unknowingly. Things kick off when Douglas confesses to Mirabelle (thinking she was Maxine) that he’s still in love with her, and Raquel overhears this, especially Mirabelle letting it slip that Maxine has a plan in place.

That leads to Raquel revealing herself to be Russian Mafia, and she then goes over to the house and proceeds to confront Mirabelle (thinking she’s Maxine). That eventually leads to the two of them having a brutal fight, as they go through the full house, throwing punches and kicks at each other. Eventually and somehow, Mirabelle ends up on top, steals Raquel’s belongings, and leaves the latter tied up on the bed.

Meanwhile, her sister Maxine has her own adventures, attempting to find information on Raquel’s partner, Pinky. However, Maxine’s plan unravels when Pinky doesn’t have the information she needs, which is when Mirabelle turns up clutch to save her sister.

Just before leaving to relax by the pool, she hands Maxine a ledger containing the information the latter needs to get Pinky off her and Evelyn’s backs in Palm Royale season 2 episode 6. But that, unfortunately, turns out to be her last good act for her sister, as the next time Mirabelle is seen, she is dead from a bullet to her head that may or may not have been meant for Maxine.

The two were wearing similar clothing and looked identical at the time of Mirabelle’s death. The latter's fate stemming from a case of mistaken identity seems even more probable with Norma back in Palm Beach and hell-bent on getting revenge on Maxine.
