"It’s just hard" - Paige Spiranac opens up with teary eyes after receiving online hate amidst the Internet Invitational

After sharing the hateful DM on her Instagram story, Spiranac could not help but reveal what she was going through. She posted some clips of herself on Instagram, where fans could see how the online hatred affected her spirits. In the clips, Spiranac could be seen discussing how she struggled to interact socially, but she had a good experience at the Internet Invitational.

"I don't normally do this, but this hate for some reason just been really hitting home for me. I've struggled socially my entire life... When I was at the internet invitational, I felt really good."

Paige Spiranac further revealed how the hatred ended up triggering her childhood insecurities. As the golfer talked to the camera, she could be seen in a vulnerable state and almost choked up. In the video, she said:

"To watch it back and, like, these deep insecurities of, like, childhood, whatever is coming all back, and it’s like confirmation that no, you’re actually not liked, you’re annoying, and no one likes you, and you suck, and you’re terrible, and all of these things, and it’s just hard."
