Nike is moving forward to the next step for Paige Bueckers' signature shoe. Sneaker & Streetwear Legal Services reported on X (formerly Twitter) that Nike applied to trademark a new logo. The new logo features a doodle of a bucket with the initials PB, referring to the Dallas Wings star.
According to the report, the trademark was filed earlier this month. This means that Nike will have exclusive rights and ownership to the logo moving forward. Under the category "Goods & Services," the application features headwear, footwear, shirts and sweatshirts.
The logo isn't new for the WNBA star or fans who have followed her career with Nike. It was featured on a player-exclusive Nike GT Hustle 3 that was released in December 2024.
There isn't any further update on what the next step for Nike is with the star athlete. Fans are waiting on a potential signature shoe for Bueckers. When she was drafted No. 1 overall by the Wings, the former UConn star told the media that she had no idea when it would happen.
"Yeah, I have no idea. Based off staying in the moment, I haven't even thought about those conversations, nor have we started those. But there's a lot of people in line for that who deserve it as well. So, whatever happens in the future, we'll see," said Bueckers.Paige Bueckers' partnership with Nike started in 2023, when she signed a multiyear NIL (name, image and likeness) deal with the brand.
