The San Diego Padres have been one of the league's top trading teams over the last few seasons since A.J. Preller took over in the front office.
Their addition of Juan Soto, and then the trade to move him to the New York Yankees, were two massive moves that were some of his best moves.
While he's not made big moves this offseason, ESPN's Alden Gonzalez predicts Preller has a big trade in store this offseason. Preller is always ready to make a big move, and another could be coming before the start of the season.
Padres predicted to make huge trade this offseason
"A.J. Preller and the San Diego Padres will do something big," Gonzalez writes. "... At some point, a big move is coming."
Gonzalez predicts that Preller has a big move in his sleeve, but guessing what that move could entail is "anybody's guess."
There are some options, which could include trades of Roman Laureano, Jake Cronenworth, or Pick Pivetta, all of which have been linked as trade candidates this offseason.

But another name worth keeping an eye on is Mason Miller. Despite just trading for him, Preller is no stranger to wheeling and dealing, and if a team has an offer worth taking, he could swing a trade involving the flame-throwing closer.
Nearly anything is on the table for the Padres, potentially even a Fernando Tatis Jr. trade. While that, and a Miller trade, are incredibly unlikely, don't rule anything out with Preller.
Preller is reportedly "busy" this offseason, and while nothing is set-in-stone or close, the Padres pulling off a blockbuster trade this offseason would hardly be a surprise.
