In the words of ESPN's Tim Bontemps in a new article on Friday morning:
"Keyonte George has made the leap."
The Utah Jazz may not have many NBA eyes watching them right now, but George deserves all the attention. He's turning into a star.
The way he's doing it is as crazy as it gets.
George is taking more shots than he has at any point in his NBA career. Despite that, he's also shooting a higher percentage from every spot.
Before this season, George was a 39.1% shooter from the floor, 33.9% from 3 and 83.1% from the line.
This season, George is shooting 45.9% from the floor, 38.3% from 3-point range and 90.4% from the line.
That has allowed him to raise his average up to 24.4 points per game, after going for 13.0 and 16.8 in his first two seasons.

George is also averaging career highs in rebounding (4.0 per game), assists (6.7), steals (1.1) and blocks (0.3).
So yeah, he's made the leap.
It's a major development for the Jazz, who are likely looking at another high draft pick after this season before hoping to turn the corner.
George, just 22, was the 16th overall pick out of Baylor in the 2023 NBA Draft. That's starting to look like a steal.
If Utah can get the rest of its moves right, George can help lead the Jazz into a brighter era.
