The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys go at it in Week 6 of the NFL season, and whenever these two blockbuster franchises are up against each other, there are always fireworks. These two are historic teams that are used to winning.
Last season, these two teams ended the game in a 40-40 tie, making it a high-scoring matchup. Now, Packers quarterback Jordan Love has a bold prediction that it could happen again, or something similar.
In ESPN's Week 6 preview ahead of the weekend of games, reporter Rob Demovsky notes that the Packers and Love are expecting plenty of points on the board from both sides.
"The way QB Jordan Love talked this week, the Packers are expecting another high-scoring game like the one they had at Dallas last season," he said, adding that "it ended in a 40-40 tie, but the Packers almost ran out of time before they could kick the tying field goal at the end of overtime."
Jordan Love says the Packers must stay locked in if another high-scoring game comes down to the wire
He added, "Love said the last play from scrimmage before the field goal was problematic because players weren't lined up correctly and his pass was broken up in the end zone, leaving only one second left."
So, this time around, Love says that "everybody's got to be dialed in, locked in" at the end of the game, "especially when it's a close game with how much time is left on the clock, what the situation is, what we're trying to do," per Demovsky.
As for a fun fact about the Cowboys, they're still the only team in the NFL without an interception, according to ESPN's release, and "their two takeaways are their fewest through five games in franchise history."
This is one of those games you're going to want to watch from beginning to end. With Jordan Love up against Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, anything is possible.
