Only one person can stop Death Riders after potential twist at AEW Worlds End 2025, says expert

A wrestling expert has weighed in on the escapades of a Death Rider at AEW Worlds End and believes only that star can stop the group.

At Worlds End 2025, Death Riders leader Jon Moxley became the new AEW Continental Champion. To achieve the feat, the Purveyor of Violence first got past Kyle Fletcher in the semifinals, then bested defending champion Kazuchika Okada in the finals of the Continental Classic Tournament. The interesting part is that Mox, who himself plays a heel character, got past two other major heels in the promotion, with the crowd firmly behind him, all the while. Moreover, the One True King delivered a heartfelt "babyface" like promo after his win, heaping praise on the talent in AEW, which caught the attention of wrestling expert Sam Roberts.

Speaking on Notsam Wrestling, Roberts addressed Mox's promo but questioned if the Death Riders felt the same way as him. He then went on to say that the Purveyor of Violence could be the one to stop the Riders, finally.

"You've got to wonder if the Death Riders feel the same way. When you start a group like that, a cult, and you, as the leader, go 'okay, our work here is done,' these Death Riders are far too invested in what you've taught them ever to say their work is done. Well, now maybe you have to look around and realise that they are going to turn on you. This whole time, we were thinking someone had to be the one to stop Mox and the Death Riders, but what if Mox is the one?" said Roberts [32:13 -32:51]

Sam Roberts says MJF needs to emulate Triple H's heel run in AEW

On a separate note, on Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts discussed MJF becoming the new AEW World Champion and said it was time for the Salt of the Earth to go on a generational heel run, likening it to WWE CCO Triple H's run in the early 2000s.

"I’m hopeful that MJF becomes a real heel, not somebody people are having fun booing. Even at the height of him being his heeliest, when he was champion, people were still having fun booing him. I would love to see MJF go to that feathered-hair, world-champion Triple H era heel," Roberts said

We are just hours away from Dynamite, and it will be interesting to see what the new world champion has in store for us.
