Kana Morimoto promised to unleash pure violence in her return to the global stage of ONE Championship. And she stuck to that promise on the massive ONE 173 showcase inside Tokyo's Ariake Arena on Sunday, November 16.

The former four-time K-1 champion outpointed three-sport queen Stamp Fairtex via unanimous decision in their electric atomweight kickboxing tiff in Japan, with a three-round clinic that reminded fight fans of her world-class striking arsenal.

'Krusher Queen' wasted no time going to work, touching up the Fairtex Training Center affiliate with low kicks and piston-like fists that landed with accuracy and power.

Stamp, despite being out of action for more than two years, didn't look too fazed taking the Japanese striker's best shots. In fact, the Pattaya-based striker threw in counters that forced Kana to take a step back and restrategize as the opening stanza came to a close.

In round two, the Thai brought the fight to the Team Aftermath athlete. Stamp entered enemy territory with effective punch-kick combos and made sure she absorbed less traffic on the exit.

Still, the 33-year-old's fire to put on a show was second to none. The Tokyo-based fighter shrugged off Stamp's exchanges and responded with double the amount.

Round three shared a similar plot. The Thai attempted to create angles with her footwork and speed, but Kana's forward pressure was just too hot to handle.

The former ONE atomweight kickboxing world title challenger stalked her foe like a predator on the hunt and went swinging until the final bell to impress all three judges at Circle-side.

'Krusher Queen's triumph on home soil at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri improved her overall slate to 24-6.

At the same time, she earned a much-needed bounce-back win after going down to 'The Queen' Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom during their world title fight at ONE 172 in Saitama.

That said, there are plenty of improvements that can be added to her game if she wants to work her way back into the world title picture in the world's largest martial arts organization.

The Japanese slugger, who owns 11 career knockouts, needs to find her finishing touch and create less obvious patterns whenever she advances into the pocket. Stamp was able to read some of her movements, but the Thai was no match for her dance partner in the aggressive department.

For now, Kana should enjoy her triumph before going back to the drawing board and assessing what needs to be done in her already world-class kickboxing arsenal.

With just some minor tweaks, the 33-year-old should have it in her to wear ONE gold inside the Circle.
