The Winter Olympics are back — meaning a ton of international action on the slopes is as well.

Some of the world's greatest skiers will group in Milan over the coming weeks for the 2026 Winter Olympics, competing for bronze, silver and gold. 

Plenty of stars will be in the spotlight, including Mikaela Shiffrin, Federica Brignone, Lindsey Vonn and Marco Odermatt. Which countries will finish at the top of the skiing medals leaderboard?

The Sporting News is tracking the medal winners in each event and listing the countries that have totaled the most medals in alpine and slalom skiing. Totals are ranked by most gold medals.

Olympics skiing venues 2026

  • Men's venue: Stelvio Ski Centre
  • Women's venue: Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre

The men's and women's alpine skiing events will be held at different venues in the Milan area, around five hours from one another. The men will be at the Stelvio Ski Centre in Bormio, while the women will compete at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre, which is just outside Cortina d'Ampezzo.
