Lindsey Vonn had her Monday wake-surfing session interrupted by some very unexpected – yet special – guests.
On Tuesday, April 29, the Olympic skier shared a magical video to her Instagram documenting her epic encounter with some dolphins the previous day.
“Wake-surfing with DOLPHINS OMG!!! 🐬🏄♀️HUGE bucket list item checked off the list today ✅ I’ve seen stuff like this on instagram before but never thought it would happen to me! Not your typical Monday! 🤯😍” Vonn shared in her caption.
In the video, the athlete is seen shredding the waves on her board in Miami, while dolphins surrounded her on all sides, flipping and jumping along with her. Fans took to the comments section to let the athlete know how epic the video was.
“Stttttoooooppppp! This is just too amazing!!!! Do you think they have any clue it’s you!!??” one fan asked.
Another stated, “Fin Whisperer. Miami’s way of saying, “Congrats on the come back!”
The official USA ski team’s Instagram even chimed in, writing,, “.... this is... a dream?!”
After a five-year hiatus and announcing her retirement, Vonn is making a remarkable comeback to the slopes. Following knee surgery in 2024, the legendary skier dove straight into rehab, and recently secured a spot on the podium at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup, showing the world she’s back and better than ever.
