England's No. 3 batter Ollie Pope has had a hugely disappointing Ashes 2025-26 campaign. Being one of the experienced batters in the side, the visitors had high hopes from him. However, the 27-year-old has only managed 125 runs in six innings at an average of 20.83. The right-handed batter has failed to register a single half-century in Ashes 2025-26 so far.
Pope began the series with 46 & 33 in the first Test in Perth, failing to convert starts in both innings. He registered scores of 0 & 26 in Brisbane and 3 & 17 in Adelaide as England conceded the Ashes with two matches still left in the series. Following his poor efforts, calls are growing for his axing.
In this feature, we compare Pope's stats with those of Indian batter KL Rahul. Since Pope has played 64 Tests so far, we compare his stats with those of Rahul after the latter had also played the same number of games. Like Pope, Rahul has also played some fine knocks, but has been equally disappointing at times.
