The Detroit Lions have used David Montgomery less this season than ever before.
And on Tuesday, Montgomery used his Instagram in a way he rarely does: He posted something pretty darn cryptic that left fans concerned.
This is what Monty posted on his story:

The general vibe that people are taking from this is that Montgomery is ready to go but isn't being used.
It isn't the kind of post that would point toward a trade.
You could read into it as, "Montgomery says he's going to leave his Lions uniform behind at the end of the season."
Montgomery is coming off a game with just four carries for 14 yards in a loss to Pittsburgh.
The "Knuckles" to Jahmyr Gibbs' "Sonic," Montgomery has had single-digit carries in six consecutive games.
Gibbs has been great most of the year, and that has eaten into Montgomery's role.
He's averaging 4.6 yards per carry, tied for his best with Detroit, but he's only getting 9.3 runs per game, down from 13.2 last game and 15.6 two seasons ago.
Montgomery is 28 years old and likely feels he can still be doing more.
Right now, though, Montgomery's pads are getting put to less use than he would like.
