This West Group A NBA Emirates Cup matchup pits two teams who will start their 2025 in-season tourney campaign Friday.
The Thunder are coming off of a close 121-119 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday after winning the first eight games of the season. Even during Wednesday’s loss, they got multiple attempts to win the game but missed two 3-pointers in the final five seconds.
SGA led the team with 35 points and nine rebounds, while Aaron Wiggins had 27 points. Isaiah Hartenstein had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds.
OKC will be without Jalen Williams (wrist), Nikole Topic (testicular cancer), Kenrich Williams (knee), Wiggins (adductor strain) and Thomas Sorber (right ACL tear). Luguentz Dort is questionable with a shoulder issue.
The Kings are coming off of a 121-116 win against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. Russell Westbrook had a triple-double of 23 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, while DeMar DeRozan had 25 points.
Domantas Sabonis is questionable for Friday’s game with a rib injury, while Keegan Murray is out with a thumb injury.
