The Edmonton Oilers aren't going to change everything this offseason, but they have to consider some moves to maximize this era of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
One name popping up in the trade rumors is the veteran defenseman Darnell Nurse.
And according to NHL insider David Pagnotta, there might already be a trade fit that makes sense.
"Darnell Nurse’s future also seems to be up in the air," Pagnotta wrote on Monday. "His name was floated ahead of the trade deadline and Bowman is expected to explore options this summer, with San Jose being a potential fit."

The Sharks are a young team that could use a veteran leader like Nurse. He could bring lots of winning experience to San Jose.
And in return, the Sharks have a lot of possible assets that could intrigue the Oilers. Obviously the biggest names would be off the table, but Nurse could probably net something notable in return.
Nurse is still reliable at age 31. He just played all 82 games in the regular season, putting up seven goals and 17 assists.
He has played in 798 career games at the NHL level since being the No. 7 overall pick by the Oilers in the 2013 NHL Draft.
It'd be different for him to go elsewhere. He's only ever suited up for the Oilers in the NHL.
The Sharks would at least keep Nurse on the West Coast, and he'd have a lot of familiar places to visit in a Western Conference schedule.
Nothing is a done deal, but the link of Nurse to San Jose this early in the offseason suggests there could be real momentum to such a move as the summer approaches.
