WNBA star Sophie Cunningham revealed her dream WWE matchup during an interview on Friday, saying she would be more than willing to step into the ring against John Cena’s ex, Nikki Bella.

The remark from Cunningham earned a response from the WWE Diva, who responded on Instagram with a three-word message.

"Bring it on @sophie_cham 💋😋🙌🏻" Bella wrote.

Sophie Cunningham reposted Bella's story, dropping a message of her own.

"Hahahah Oh Hell Yeah 😜❤️‍🔥," Cunningham captioned the story.

The online exchange between Cunningham and Bella began after the Fever guard said she would be open to facing her in a WWE bout during an interview with Bryanna Sompayrac.

"I haven't even watched it (WWE) in so long," Cunningham said. "The Bella Twins. I think it would be fun to either partner with them or like go against them, that's what I would choose."

Although Cunningham did not call out Nikki Bella by name, she is the only one currently active, with her sister Brie Bella having not competed in the ring since 2022.

Nikki Bella also jokingly challenged Cunningham in the comments section.

"I’ll take her on one on one… 💋🙌🏼," Bella commented.

Bella, who dated John Cena between 2012 and 2018, made her return to WWE in February during the Royal Rumble, entering at number 30. Her return was a surprise to fans as she went on to eliminate Bayley before being eliminated by Nia Jax.

She has since made multiple appearances on the RAW network and recently turned heel after attacking Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Sophie Cunningham shows love to John Cena following his retirement before teasing a possible move to the WWE

WWE legend John Cena retired from the WWE on December 13, bringing a close to his 24-year-long career. WNBA star Sophie Cunningham offered the superstar his flowers on her podcast on Wednesday, before teasing a possible move to the WWE.

"I grew up on that s*it WWE baby," Cunningham said (Timestamp: 34:42). "I used to be a big fan. Me and Lindsay and I used to wrestle all the time, and our parents would have to call it." "John Cena was just the absolute best, man. They’ve actually asked me to do it. Maybe after I retire or in the offseason, maybe two will be the new WWE duo. I’d wrestle."

With several NBA players having crossed over into WWE in the past, Cunningham could pave the way for WNBA stars to follow a similar path.
