West Ham’s struggles at the London Stadium have deepened after another dispiriting home defeat to Brentford left them languishing near the foot of the Premier League table.

With just one win in eight matches and a mere four points collected, the Hammers are enduring their worst home start since 2010 when they eventually faced relegation.

The club’s performances have lacked energy and cohesion, leaving new manager Nuno Espirito Santo with an enormous task to restore belief among disillusioned supporters.

Even the normally vibrant Jarrod Bowen has struggled to rally his teammates through a period defined by empty seats and visible frustration.

But Nuno is already devising a plan to turn around West Ham campaign and winter transfer window could already a part of it.

West Ham are preparing to move on from James Ward-Prowse after he slipped down the pecking order but face a tough challenge as Chelsea are unwilling to part with Santos and Manchester United would only consider a deal if Mainoo pushes for a loan move.
