There will be some elite players on the trade market this offseason around the NBA, potentially including Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns.
After the Denver Nuggets were eliminated in seven games against the Oklahoma City Thunder, many believe they need to make a move to pair Nikola Jokic with another star.
Durant, who is only getting older at 36 years old, hasn't slowed down. However, for the Nuggets and their championship window, trading for him makes plenty of sense despite his age.
In a proposed trade idea from Bleacher Reports' Zach Buckley, they’d accomplished just that.
He added that their package could be built around Michael Porter Jr., a polarizing shooter who didn't play well for Denver in the playoffs, which could’ve been due to his injuries.
“Is a Durant deal likely for Denver? Not at all. That said, it hardly feels impossible. His name is prominently featured on the rumor mill, and given Phoenix's inability to contend and near total lack of assets, a summer split seems best for everyone. Denver, meanwhile, could conceivably build an offer around Michael Porter Jr., either as a new running mate for Devin Booker or as a centerpiece for a third team who sends someone else back to the Suns,” he wrote.

If the Nuggets could pair Jokic with Durant, it's tough to say that any duo in the NBA would be better.
While these moves don't always work out, evident by the current Suns team, Jokic is good enough to ignore any potential mishaps that could come along with this.
Outside of the injury concerns, this would be a dream trade for the Nuggets.
