Norwich City host Oxford United at Carrow Road on Tuesday in another round of the 2025-26 EFL Championship campaign. The home side have endured a woeful campaign, prompting the dismissal of head coach Liam Manning less than six months into his reign at the club as they sit 23rd in the table with just nine points from 16 games.

Former Rangers boss Philippe Clement has been appointed as the new head coach and tasked with turning the club’s fortunes around. The Belgian, however, saw his tenure begin on a sour note as Norwich fell to a 4-1 defeat against newly promoted Birmingham City on Saturday and will hope to get his side up and running this week.

Oxford United have also had their struggles in the league this season but remain hopeful of beating the drop. They played out a 1-1 draw with promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough last time out, with Luke Harris opening the scoring midway through the first half before their opponents leveled the scores early in the second.

The visitors sit 21st in the table with 14 points but could fall into the drop zone should they fail to win this week.

Norwich City vs Oxford United Prediction

The Canaries are on a run of back-to-back defeats and are winless in their last 12 matches, a run stretching back to the start of September. They have the worst home record in the division this term, having lost all seven of their games at Carrow Road, but remain slight favorites for this one due to the difference in squad quality.

The Yellows are winless in their last four games and have won just two of their last 10. They have had mixed results on the road of late but should have enough to pick up a point against a wayward Norwich side this week.

Prediction: Norwich City 1-1 Oxford United
