“No serious person would say this” “You are insane”: NFL fans call out Kay Adams for comparing Caleb Williams-led Bears to Super Bowl LIV winner

Caleb Williams is enjoying a fabulous 2025 season with the Chicago Bears. The Bears quarterback has led his team to the summit of the NFC North with an 11-4 record, having already sealed a playoff berth. Amid Chicago's excellent run this season, analyst Kay Adams drew comparisons between Williams and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes when he won his first Super Bowl in 2020.

"The Bears are giving 2019 Chiefs," Adams tweeted on Monday, in response to a video she made about the Bears potentially having the elements to win the Super Bowl.

When fans caught wind of Adams' tweet likening Williams to Mahomes, they had a range of reactions.

"You are insane," one tweeted. "No serious person would say this," another added. "Stay far far far away industry plant Kay," a third commented.

Here are a few more reactions.

"No. They can't. They didn't beat the Packer as much as the Packers gave away the game -- several times," one wrote. "Stay on that side, we dont claim you," another added. "This is honestly hilarious, the bears are such a bad team," a user tweeted.

The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 at Super Bowl LIV. In that season, Mahomes led Kansas City to the AFC title, as the team finished the regular season with a 12-4 record.

The Chiefs earned a bye in the wild-card round before recording blowout wins against the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round and conference championship round, respectively.

While the Bears are on course to win their divisional title this season, it remains to be seen whether Williams and co. can go all the way to win a Super Bowl.

Caleb Williams' Bears (11-4) will face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 17 of the season on Sunday. The game is set to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The 49ers (11-4) have clinched a playoff berth and are on a five-game win streak. They will want to continue their good run to build some momentum heading into the postseason.

Meanwhile, Williams and Co. are in pole position to win the NFC North with two regular-season games remaining.
