American middle-distance runner Nikki Hiltz recently opened up on the issue of same sex marriage. According to multiple media reports, the Supreme Court of the United States is conducting a meeting behind closed doors to decide on the legality of marriage between people of the same sex.
Hiltz shared their feelings on Instagram with back-to-back Instagram stories. In one of them, the athlete shared a selfie with their partner, Emma Gee, emphasizing the strong relationship between the 'power couple'.
Hiltz wrote about the importance of love in the caption of the first Instagram story,
"Right now the Supreme Court of the United States is holding a closed door meeting which will set the stage for a potential legal battle to overturn marriage equality. No court should decide who you can or cannot build a life with. Thinking of every LGBTQ+ couple waiting for the news today. Just wanted to say no matter what your relationships are real and your love is valid."
