WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has been making headlines with his incredible work in the company for decades now, and his contributions to the wrestling industry will forever be cherished. While Mysterio has been a top name in the industry since his debut, former CEO of the Stamford-based company Nick Khan claimed something different.

Khan, in a recent episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast, stated that Mysto was a ‘nothing’ star in WCW, and that his career kicked off after he made his debut in the Stamford-based company.

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently addressed the claim for Khan, blasting the former CEO for his words. The legend, in a recent edition of the Kliq This podcast, stated that Mysterio was always a big name in the industry and questioned Khan’s claim.

“I don’t know in what context Nick said that… Was [Rey] considered a nothing in WCW? I disagree because, I mean, f*ck, he beat me. WCW went out of business in what, 2001? And it's 2025. So, what are you saying, Nick? You’ve had him for 25, 20 years and he's meant more than the f*cking four years that he was at WCW? I sure as f*ck hope so. You got a f*cking $5 billion f*cking Netflix deal. You got a $1.6 billion ESPN deal. He means more, really? There's more eyes on him now? God, that Nick's a f*cking crafty f*cking guy,” he stated. What’s next for Rey Mysterio in WWE?

The legendary luchador has revisited his feud with his son, Dominik Mysterio, recently, and a match between the father and son is expected to take place in the squared circle once again.

With Dominik reigning as the Intercontinental Champion, it would be quite interesting to see how WWE books a match between both men with the title involved, and what the company plans for further.
