William Nylander has his punishment.
Over the weekend, out injured, Nylander was seated in a suite at Toronto's game when the Sportsnet cameras captured him and his injured teammates live during their broadcast.
And while on the broadcast, Nylander flipped the bird at the camera.
Afterward, Nylander issued an apology on his Instagram.
"Only love for Leafs nation," Nylander wrote with some hearts. "Sorry about my moment of frustration toady! Didn't mean to upset anyone. Looking forward to being back on the ice and not in the stands (crying emoji), love Willy."
He also craftily covered up his hand with heart hands:
William Nylander has apologized for flipping the bird to the camera during today's @TSN_Sports broadcast of Leafs-Avs, calling it a "moment of frustration."

On Monday night, the NHL announced its punishment for Nylander's actions.
According to insider Darren Dreger, the NHL fined Nylander $5,000.
The general consensus in the replies was that it was a light punishment. Certainly, objectively, the NHL couldn't have done much less.
But that's the verdict, and the Maple Leafs will just be hoping Nylander can get back from injury soon.
