Another fun weekend of NFL action will peak on Sunday during Week 16.

We have 14 games to run through to find some betting value in the NFL player props market.

Below, we target two of the worst teams in the NFL that have some value in the prop market.

We’re pretty at much break even right now, positive 0.2 units on the year.

We look to get back to the winning ways this week.

NFL Week 16 player props and predictions

De’Von Achane Over 115.5 rushing + yards (-111, DraftKings) | Over 149.5 (+310, BetRivers)

Quinn Ewers gets his first career start Sunday against the hapless Bengals, who just got shut out by the Ravens and have one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

It’s a fine matchup for Ewers to get his feet wet in the NFL, and he should be looking to get his best player, star running back De’Von Achane, heavily involved.

The Bengals are embarrassingly allowing 129.21 rushing yards to opposing running backs––worst in the NFL by far––while also coughing up 45.57 receiving yards to the postition (third-worst).

That’s almost impossibly bad that they’re allowing the above lines on an average Sunday.

Achane is one of the most versatile players in the NFL and will likely get a massive workload Sunday.

He crossed the small side of this number last week, and in four his past five outings.

I’m shocked the number is this slow, quite frankly, and I wouldn’t hate a touch at Over 179.5, a number he’s eclipsed twice in his past five games, but don’t risk more than a unit with spread-out liability.

Tyler Shough Over 30.5 pass attempts (-105, Fanatics) | Over 38.5 (+650, DraftKings)

Tyler Shough has impressed me in recent weeks and, honestly, this bet doesn’t even require good performance.

Shough has Over 30.5 pass attempts in three of his last four games while going 2-2 in those games from a record standpoint.

You’d obviously rather trail in order to get some more pass attempts in there, but also keep in mind that the Saints just lost their running back Devin Neal, leaving Evan Hull to likely get the lion’s share of the work out of the backfield.

Betting on the NFL?

It’s not ideal for the Saints, so I think there’s at least a chance that the Jets take an early lead, giving this Over more than a fair chance.

Keep in mind, Shough is also a rookie playing his best football, so you’d think that he would get some more work as the season comes to a close.

Shough’s last four pass attempt numbers are 43, 38, 20 (in a rain-filled Tampa setting) and 32.

Shough’s Overs certainly look tasty Sunday.
