NFL Melbourne crowd: How many people were at the MCG for Rams vs. 49ers?

1 hour ago 5

It is set to be the biggest NFL regular season crowd for nearly 15 years with a capacity crowd of close to 100,000 at the MCG for the LA Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers match in Melbourne, Australia.

The official crowd figure is yet to be announced but there appears to be barely a spare seat in the house, with the attendance almost certainly to be more than 95,000.

This will make the NFL Melbourne match the seventh-most attended regular season game of all time and only a few thousand short of the record set at Cowboys Stadium in 2009.

If the crowd tips over past 100,000, it could even be a top-five attended NFL regular season match.

The official crowd figure for the NFL Melbourne match at the MCG will be announced close to the end of the game.
