The FIBA Women's World Cup continues onto the quarterfinals Thursday with a must-watch matchup between the USA and Hungary.
The Americans continue on their pursuit for yet another FIBA Women's World Cup title, which would be the nation's 12th in total. Team USA finished group play undefeated, with wins over China, Italy and Czechia in Group D. With these results, the U.S. side earned a direct bid into the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, Hungary enters the quarterfinal round with nothing to lose against a daunting opponent. The Hungarians went 2-1 in the group stage, losing only to France in their opener, but then went on to defeat Japan in a qualification matchup to keep their campaign alive.
