While it may feel cool to have all eyes on the Cleveland Browns because of their quarterback battle between Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson, not so fast.
While it's entertaining to watch the fireworks here, it's probably more entertaining for those who don't have any stakes in whether the Browns do well this season. So, fans of other NFL teams may be getting a kick out of this competition, but for the Browns, it exposes a real question about whether or not they're going to be good enough this season.
On Tuesday, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports gave his take on this battle and the Browns in general for this season. He ranked them No. 28 on his power rankings, so not great.

In the piece, Vacchiano says that the Browns' situation is one where nobody is really going to win. That's pretty funny, but also pretty depressing for this franchise.
"The offseason didn’t clear up the QB battle, which is apparently only between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders," he says in the piece. "Honestly, this doesn’t feel like a situation where anybody actually wins."
A lot of experts think the Browns are still in a bind for this season when it comes to their quarterback roster and that they'll try to draft a franchise one in 2027. But, hey, there's still a chance that Watson or Sanders could surprise the analysts and have a breakout season. If so, it would turn things around for the Browns.
