Ten days after the end of the World Cup, the North American stage is ready to host another star-filled event, as the 2026 Major League Soccer All-Star Game is set for Wednesday.

The event features players from MLS matched against a team of Liga MX stars.

Several players who were on this summer's World Cup rosters will participate in the showdown in Charlotte, North Carolina. That includes USMNT players Tim Ream and Matt Freese, along with South Korean star Son Heung-Min.

Lionel Messi and Inter Miami teammate Rodrigo De Paul were selected to the team, but the two players are getting rest after leading Argentina to the World Cup final.

It's the third straight year MLS has faced Liga MX, and the fifth time in the last six years the MLS All-Star Game has pitted the stars from the two leagues against one another. During that stretch, the MLS team has emerged victorious three times, with Liga MX winning the 2024 game.

Who will win this year's battle? Follow along as The Sporting News provides updates from the match.
