The Los Angeles Rams are one of the teams everyone will be watching in the NFC as the potential Super Bowl representative from the conference in 2025. The Rams were mere plays away from getting to the NFC Championship Game in the 2024 season, falling short on the road in a snowy Philadelphia. And while the Rams got better offensively, adding Davante Adams for Matthew Stafford to throw to, Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report isn't convinced that the Rams will be a Super Bowl contender.
"On one hand, the Rams have to be viewed as the team to beat in the NFC West—Los Angeles has a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, no shortage of offensive weapons and a stout young front seven defensively," Davenport writes. "On the other hand, the Rams have issues at linebacker, in the secondary and on the interior of the offensive line. The Rams may be a playoff team, but I don’t see them as a real threat to make it to Santa Clara."
Davenport isn't far off with his critiques of the Rams. Off-ball linebacker is a red flag. They drafted Pooh Paul, who will likely start at linebacker as a rookie, but their secondary still has many glaring holes. The Rams' draft could have been better, but this is still a team that will at minimum be in the mix among Super Bowl caliber teams in the NFC on their offense alone.
