New York Giants practice video shows Russell Wilson dropping dimes

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson is closer to the end of his career than his prime, but video of the veteran quarterback slinging absolute seeds at the Giants' OTAs should have Big Blue's fans feeling pretty excited.

I get it; it's an OTA practice. No shoulder pads, no hitting, it's nothing too serious. But that's not the point. Instead, it's Wilson's arm strength -- there's more zip on his passes than we've seen in recent seasons -- which suggests he could be setting up to have a massive comeback season in New York.

Wilson has bounced around the NFL since starring as a Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, spending the last two years with the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers. And while he only signed a one-year deal with the Giants, there's a chance -- albeit a small one -- that he could hang around longer than that if he leads New York on an unexpected playoff run in 2025.

The Giants selected Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft, which, at the time, seemed to seal Wilson's fate as a one-and-done starter. Nothing has happened to change that reality yet, but footage like this is very encouraging for the veteran starter.
