The New Orleans Pelicans vs OKC Thunder is one of the eight games scheduled to be played in the NBA on Sunday. The Pelicans have had one of the worst starts to the season in their franchise history. They lost all of their fixtures and are heading into the game with a 0-5 record. Despite having a healthier and leaner Zion Williamson, the New Orleans have failed to leave a mark early in the season.
On the other hand, the OKC Thunder have started the season where they left off. They are playing like the 2024-25 season never ended. The defending champions are currently the number one team in the league with a 6-0 record.
The Pelicans are desperate to secure a win and turn around their season. The Thunder are adamant about extending their winning streak, and continuing their dominance.

The absence of Murray is quite visible on the Pelicans' lineup. However, he is not expected to be back before the New Year's eve.
OKC Thunder injury report
The Thunder are heading into the game with way bigger injury reports than their opponents. Chet Holmgren is out because of a back injury, Jalen Williams is out because of a wrist injury, Nikola Topic will be on the sidelines for a while as he was diagnosed with testicular cancer last month, Kennich Williams is out with a knee injury, and Thomas Serber is nursing an ACL tear, which he suffered during an offseason workout.
The absence of Holmgren and Williams will hurt the Thunder the most, as they are two of their best players. However, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the floor, getting past OKC won't be an easy job for the Pelicans.
