NCAA March Madness delivers Royals entry to tournament

The Queens Royals are heading to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. The Royals are Atlantic Sun Champions, knocking off Central Arkansas to win the conference title in their first season of eligibility. 

The eight teams playing in St. Louis for the first round of the NCAA Tournament:

Miami (FL) vs. Mizzou
Purdue vs. Queens

Kentucky vs. Santa Clara
Iowa State vs. Tennessee State@MatrixMidwest

It's a historical run for the Royals, earning full Division I status in July. Since then, they have had a solid season and earned an Atlantic Sun Championship and an invite to the NCAA tournament.

Queens will face No. 2 seed Purdue in the First Round, with the Boilermakers having punched their ticket by upsetting Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament title game.
