The truth about Timothee Chalamet falling photo duping Marty Supreme fans at Oscars

1 hour ago 2

A viral post has been circulating on social media while celebrities were entering the 2026 Academy Awards.

Timothée Chalmet, who is nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of Marty Reisman in Marty Supreme, had an alleged photo of him go viral of him falling down the stairs. If you are chronically online, you already know that this photo goes viral every award season with a different actor or artist attached. This year was no different, and the victim this time was Chalamet.

In the photo, a man is seen falling in a white suit with two bodyguards attempting to help him up. The origin of the photo is actually a stuntman falling at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and not Chalamet.

Some fans in the comments knew that the photo was not real in terms of the man in the photo being the actor, which gave the opportunity for fans to make snarky remarks to him over his recent viral statement about ballet.

"Should've taken some ballet classes," one fan reacted on X.

"Bro fell like Mbappe," another fan wrote, comparing him to the professional footballer.

"Maybe he fell trying to dance Ballet," a fan responded.

These responses follow Chalamet's comments about ballet and theater

“I don’t want to be working in ballet, or opera, or things where it’s like, ‘Hey, keep this thing alive, even though like no one cares about this anymore’,” Chalamet said during his conversation with Matthew McConaughey for Variety.

Chalamet has not yet responded to those comments.
