Nate Diaz slams Jake Paul for performance against Anthony Joshua

Nate Diaz recently reacted to Anthony Joshua's win over Jake Paul and slammed the former Disney star for not doing more against the former world heavyweight champion.

Paul went up against Joshua in a professional heavyweight boxing match at the Kaseya Center in Miami earlier today. While Paul was initially booked for an exhibition fight against Gervonta Davis in November, the matchup fell through after promoters scrapped the event following the WBA champ's latest legal problems.

While most expected Joshua to finish Paul in the first two rounds, the former Disney star surprisingly survived all the way to the sixth round. Paul worked hard at maintaining his distance against the much bigger Joshua and wasn't shy about clinching with the Englishman whenever necessary.

Nevertheless, Paul's efforts weren't nearly enough, and Joshua ultimately secured a sixth-round knockout victory. In the aftermath, Paul confirmed that one of Joshua's punches broke his jaw and made it clear that he's looking to take some time off before booking his next fight.

Like many who watched the fight live, Diaz wasn't too happy with Paul's performance against Joshua. In an X post, the former UFC star seemingly took a shot at Paul's efforts and wrote:

"Dat boi don’t work hard enough."

Diaz and Paul notably threw down in a boxing match in August 2023 in Dallas, Texas. While many expected the Stockton slugger to test Paul's boxing acumen, the former Disney star outpointed the UFC veteran over ten rounds and ultimately got his hand raised via unanimous decision. Diaz later redeemed his loss with a majority decision victory over Jorge Masvidal in July 2024.

Paul is now 12-2 as a professional. Before the Joshua fight, he beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June. He also holds victories over high-profile entities like Mike Tyson, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Mike Perry.
