Caroline Wozniacki made a rare appearance on 'The Nothing Major' podcast hosted by Sam Querry and John Isner. The Dane shared some fond memories and had a friendly conversation with the duo.
Wozniacki was last seen in action at the 2024 US Open, where she reached the fourth round. Despite a spirited performance against Beatriz Haddad Maia, the Brazilian defeated her in straight sets at the Flushing Meadows.
The 35-year-old spoke about her pre-match rituals and equation with husband, David Lee. She revealed that the former NBA player was high-maintenance and influenced her decisions on tour.
"David was high maintenance. This is a funny story. So, in Australia when I won the Australian Open in the second round, I was down 5-1 and the second. I was down a set and 5-1 and 40-15, she was serving. I was down match points. I ended up winning the match somehow turning it around, winning it and since that day, David is like, okay, so the night before matches, we always have to go to Coco's, you know, the Japanese restaurant. He was kind of forcing me to go," Caroline Wozniacki said "And then after your match, we always have to go to the steakhouse. So then that became the routine of David always saying, all right, the night before your matches, we always have to eat at the same place," she addedCaroline Wozniacki captured her maiden Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in 2018. She defeated Simona Halep in an absorbing three-set contest in the final, 7-6(2), 3-6, 6-4.
The Dane continued her purple patch in 2018 and secured title-winning runs in Beijing and Eastbourne. She also reached the fourth round of the French Open, but lost to Daria Kasatkina in straight sets.
Wozniacki got married to David Lee in 2018. The couple has three children - Olivia, born in 2021, James, born in 2022, and their youngest son, Max Wozniacki Lee, born in July 2025.
