MS Dhoni's wife posts adorable picture with their daughter Ziva to welcome New Year 2026 [In picture]

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend MS Dhoni's wife, Sakshi, shared an adorable family photo on Instagram to welcome the new year. The photo features the former Indian captain and his wife wearing funky caps, and their daughter, Ziva, seemingly in party mode in Phuket, Thailand.

The 44-year-old will continue to ply his trade for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The legendary wicketkeeper-batter captained the Super Kings in a few matches during the 2025 edition due to Ruturaj Gaikwad getting ruled out of the tournament after an elbow injury.

Meanwhile, below is the post shared by Sakshi on Instagram, as she wrote:

Despite retiring from international cricket in 2020, Dhoni has been consistently in the spotlight as he attends various public events. His presence also draws massive crowds to the stadiums during IPL matches. With the Ranchi-born cricketer unlikely to play in the IPL for a lot of years moving forward, fans will be keen to get a glimpse of the star cricketer in 2026.

"At some point, MS Dhoni will move on" - Stephen Fleming

During the IPL 2026 auction, CSK coach Stephen Fleming addressed the acquisition of Sanju Samson, suggesting that they are looking at him as Dhoni's long-term replacement. The former New Zealand captain said, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo:

"The opportunity was there. We felt we were still a little bit light in our opening batting. And we were also looking at [the fact that] at some point MS Dhoni will move on. Sanju is an international-quality player and he fills that role very well, so succession planning. And just opportunity really, just again looking at refreshing and seeing what Chennai will look like in six years' time, not two years' time. And just making sure that there's a succession [plan] around the players we are introducing."

The Super Kings finished at the bottom of the points table in IPL 2025. IPL 2026 is likely to begin on March 26.
