This week's MLB rumors involves trade interest surge for Boston Red Sox pitcher Brayan Bello as rival teams explore ideas to take him on. Meanwhile, there's a new update in the Toronto Blue Jays' chase for Kyle Tucker as the franchise looks forward to making a big splash this offseason.
Let's get to both updates one by one.
Brayan Bello receives interest from rival teams

According to The Athletic's Will Sammon and Ken Rosenthal, the Red Sox front office has received calls for a potential Brayan Bello trade from their rivals. The report also claims that this was not Boston's doing.
In March 2024, the Red Sox signed Bello to a six-year, $55 million extension, including a $21 million club option for the 2030 season and a $1 million buyout. In 2025, he posted a 3.35 ERA over a career-high 166.2 innings.
Previously, the Red Sox's Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow said that if needed, they are ready to move pitchers who are under team control. If the Red Sox feel that the 27-year old won't be able to sustain production, they would think to move him and bolster the club with the returns via trade.
Blue Jays on top of Kyle Tucker + 1 one more
According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Blue Jays are hot on the tails of Kyle Tucker, who had already visited their facility in Dunedin a few weeks back.
Tucker will come at a massive cost to the Blue Jays, as according to ESPN'S projection, he is expected to sign a contract worth $418 million over 11 years. However, the franchise is locked in to do well after making the World Series for the first time in this century.
Apart from Tucker, the Blue Jays reportedly want to acquire one player between Alex Bregman and Bo Bichette. Both players come with similar skillsets, with Bregman primarily playing third base and Bichette in the middle infield.
According to @JonHeyman the Blue Jay’s biggest move “may be yet to come.” Heyman said the Jays are “linked” to Kyle Tucker and are “considering either Bo Bichette or Alex Bregman.”
Their offensive production is similar and their defensive value is great at their respective positions.
One would assume the Blue Jays would like to re-sign Bichette since he's a homegrown star. But it remains to be seen if they make a move on Bregman.
